When I was in college, I desperately wanted a pair of leather pants. Nothing was really stopping me from buying a pair, but every time I tried a pair on I felt like they were unflattering. I resolved to buy a pair as soon as I lost weight. Over the summer, right after Bastian was born, Seth took me shopping for some post-baby clothes. You know that awkward stage where you’re not pregnant, but you don’t like not pregnant? While we were there, I spotted a pair of the cutest leather pants that were just a tad bit small. I told myself that they’d be a little treat for myself for when I lost the baby weight.
Those leather pants sat in my closet for the past 4 months and haven’t been touched, until this week. I don’t know what I was afraid of, but styling them just seemed so intimidating? I know I’m not the only one intimidated by styling leather(or fake leather, in this situation) for the fall season, so I thought I’d share the two ways I’m styling my leather pants this fall.
Cropped sweaters are actually one of my favorite closet staples for fall. My closet is filled with them. I generally pair them with high waisted denim. Seth actually picked this outfit out for me, because I was feeling a little at a loss when I was staring at my closet. He pulled out three different tops he thought would be cute. And they were all cropped sweaters. I don’t have a problem.

The other way I styled my leather was a little more casual. Leather pants, chambray top, and high top sneakers. These pants were surprisingly comfy. Does anyone have any tips for getting the slightly squeaky sound out of leather pants? Haha. That’s the only thing stopping me from wearing these every single week.
