When I was pregnant, there were a lot of things about postpartum life that I didn’t give a lot of thought to until right before Bastian was born. I was excited to start wearing all of my regular clothes again, and definitely looking forward to doing barre classes again(which I’m still waiting for). But something I didn’t consider was that I would need new bras. While I was pregnant, I avoided bras whenever possible. I felt like they were always too tight on my ribcage. About a month before Bastian was due, I started looking for new nursing bras.
When beginning to breast feed, having about 3 nursing bras is adequate. There are a few different kinds of bras to consider, but ultimately I chose a sports bra, a sleeping bra, and an underwire bra.
This sports bra is from Milk & Baby. They have a wide array of nursing bras, but they were one of the only places that I found that had sports bras that I liked. Plus this sports bra is so cute! It makes me even more excited for me to be cleared to start working out again in a month or so.
This sleeping bra from Kindred Bravely is easily my favorite nursing bra for everyday. I try not to sleep in bras, but there have definitely been a few nights where I’ve worn it to bed and it was so comfortable! It’s so soft and the breathable fabric really helped during the first week when my milk was coming in and I was figuring out breast feeding.
This nursing bra from Cake Maternity has more support, so it’ll be a great bra for when my milk has regulated. I’ve worn it a few times so far and it makes me feel like a sexy mom, and I’m not one to pass up feeling good about myself.
